On Saturday, March 12, police estimated that approximately 100,000 turned out in Madison to protest Gov. Scott Walker’s attack on unions. The Madison rally was bigger than the tea party’s biggest protest ever on September 12, 2009, which was estimated at 60,000-70,000.

In Wisconsin and around our country, the American Dream is under attack.


Instead of creating much needed jobs, Conservatives are giving tax breaks to corporations and the very rich all while cutting funding for education, police, emergency response, and vital human services.


This is only the first battle in the right wing’s attempts to destroy the American Dream. We must stop it before it spreads to other states.


On Saturday, February 26, at noon local time, rallies will be organized in front of every statehouse and in every major city to stand in solidarity with the people of Wisconsin.

Rep. Weiner Calls On Republicans to Defund Their Health Care Plans

Although a few GOP tea-baggers have opted not to take the government run health care the vast majority of Republican members of Congress have opted to receive the very health benefits they are refusing to let other American buy into. Far too many of them are getting way with being hypocrites. It's good to see Weiner calling them out. As he says, "this is your chance, don't blow it."
